From time to time, Learning Works will include short radio series produced at PBA FM with project funding from selected educational or other not for profit organisations.

PBA FM and the Learning Works reference group welcomes proposals for funded projects, or partnerships in seeking appropriate funding for radio/internet series with a lifelong learning focus.

Funded projects that also have relevance in schools are particularly welcome.

August 2007 - Adult Learners’ Week 2007

Following on from the success of the Learn @ Work programs and CD produced for the 2005 Adult Learners’ Week, and the Learning Journeys programs and CD produced for the 2006 Adult Learners’ Week, PBA FM in Adelaide has again been commissioned to produce several segments for broadcast leading up to this year’s Adult Learners’ Week festival. Each of the six programs will be of approximately twelve minutes’ duration, and all will be available online shortly after broadcast. For more information please click here.

All six programs will be broadcast in Learning Works, the weekly lifelong learning radio and internet initiative, produced at PBA FM with assistance from the ACE and Community Partnerships Unit, Employment Programs, South Australian Department of Further Education Employment Science and Technology, in preparation for Adult Learners Week 2007.

September 2007 – My Gambling Story

A short series of six 12 minute programs, on problem gambling. Produced in conjunction with the Office of Problem Gambling, Department of Families and Communities. Please return to this link in late September when further information will be available.

Beginning on PBA FM on Monday 8 October at 8.30pm on Learning Works, My Gambling Story, six short programs on aspects of problem gambling, and the people who have to face these issues – not just the person engaging in problem gambling behaviours, but also others who are affected, including family members, friends and fellow workers.

September 2006 – Learning Journeys

Following on from the success of the Learn@Work CD produced for the 2005 Adult Learners’ Week, PBA FM in Adelaide has been commissioned to produce another CD of stories for this year’s festival. Titled Learning Journeys, the CD features seven programs of approximately ten minutes duration with individuals engaged in exciting adult learning programs and activities.
